Excess sweating (hyperhidrosis) can be treated quickly and easily with the injection of a neurotoxin (produced by clostridium botulinum bacterium) in the affected area.
The neurotoxin inhibits the release of acetylcholine from the pre-synaptic nerve terminal at the neuromuscular junction and the eccrine sweat glands.
Anti-sweat injections are primarily used to treat excess sweating in the axillae (armpits), but they are also effective for treating hyperhidrosis in the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and even the face.
During an anti-sweat treatment for the underarms, the neurotoxin is injected at multiple sites 1-2cm apart.
The treatment is slightly uncomfortable but only one treatment is required and clients can return to their normal routine immediately afterwards.
Most clients notice a reduction in sweating within two to four days, but the maximum results (typically around an 85 percent reduction in sweat) isn’t achieved for two weeks.
The results normally last 4-9 months. From $999 Per Treatment.
